Students in Sombrero Time level 5 (naranja) classes will be learning the following concepts during the month of September. Students will demonstrate language learning as they:
Describe the universe using thematic vocabulary
Demonstrate the ability to conjugate target verbs in present and past tense
Respond orally and in writing to questions based on theme
Demonstrate ability to meet rubric guidelines
Sombrero Time was founded in 2008 by Ruth and David Finsthwait, holding the first classes in their garage with their own children, along with their friends and the neighborhood kids–all from a desire to teach the life-changing difference learning a second language makes. As a thought leader, Ruth speaks at conferences and workshops, sharing her philosophy and practical lessons for second language acquisition. Both Dave and Ruth are passionate to serve their staff and the parents and children of the Sombrero Time community.
